The December shoot

According to Mike, lunch at the Mole Hole Cowboy Restaurant at the December shoot on the 13th was to be free. Yes, as in no bucks at all.
In the end, of course, it got rained out, so his gesture went unappreciated. Maybe next year...

The November shoot

The next shoot of the Quinton Cowboys will be on Sunday, the 8th of November. The usual challenging stage design, courtesy of Tom.
The Mole Hole Cowboy Restaurant menu for November is plenty of El Diablo chicken (hot and spicy shredded chicken on a roll), some seven-day cole slaw, sweet potato casserole, pickles, and a soft drink, all for only five buck. (After all hungry cowboys are served, second plates will be available for a measly two bucks.)

The October shoot

The next shoot of the Quinton Cowboys will be on Sunday, the 11th of October.
A new addition to the event will be the grand opening of The Mole Hole, the replacement for Ptomaine George's now-departed establishment. The food, we hear, will be much improved, and lunch looks to be only five simoleons for a full plate and fixings. See the new website at The Mole Hole Cowboy Restaurant for details.

The September shoot

September brought much nicer weather than in July, and nearly three dozen cowboys showed up to enjoy six excellent stages.

The July shoot

Much as last month, the Quinton Cowboys got a nice sunny (if hot) day after a night of rain. The stages (thanks again to Tommy and Vern) were excellent, with an amazing transverse run in the mine car that actually worked.
We had a good turnout, some thirty-plus shooters, with some new guys, and a good time was had by all.
All except Rico, however, who went down early with the heat and bailed after only two (of six) stages. He'll be back for September (no August shoot, remember).

Finally, a sunny day

The Quinton Cowboys finally got a bright and sunny Sunday (after a cloudy start, once the rain stopped overnight), and about twenty or so shooters showed up and had a great time.
Tommy and the Delaware Blues crew put in their usual overtime making the stages work well (thanks, Vern, for the stage design), and there was a lot of variation.
Rico brought a new shooter, Mike Malloy (no cowboy alias yet), and he'll be back.

Not this one, either

The May shoot got rained out.
We (well, some of us) showed up and some (well, four of us) were willing to shoot, especially after Tommy and the gang put in so much work setting up, but everyone wimped out (okay, okay, it was raining), so no shoot in May.
So, if you're keeping score, it would technically have been Dead Hand Fred, the Quaker Kid, Rico, and some newbie friend of the Kid's, in that order, with the rest declining to participate...
Hopefully in June.

Not this time

Rico says that, through a series of errors, he did not make the April shoot. He hopes everyone had a good time and shot well. He will see you in Quinton in May, come hell or high water.
