The September shoot

Rained out, unfortunately.

July 02, 2010

The August shoot, not

Too hot...

The July shoot

Through an oversight, Rico will be out of town for the July shoot. (Hey, brain damage, what can he tell you?) He will report on the events of the shoot when he returns. As there's no shoot in August, see you in September.

June 13, 2010

The June shoot

The weather was hot, but the rain held off until everyone was headed home. Two victims: Bad Blake had a bad interaction with the loading port of Rico's rifle (not a good thing, but due to being a newbie and not knowing any better), and Yellow Mike had a bad interaction with the weather and had to ice himself down.
Other than that, a good shoot with the usual splendid scenarios courtesy of Tom Barker and the Delaware Blues.
An entire family came by to watch; they will be at the July shoot, apparently. A good thing.

May 25, 2010

The May shoot

The weather was mixed, but the shooting was good, with the usual difficult-but-not-impossible scenarios.

April 11, 2010

The April shoot

The weather was great (mid-70s and sunny), the stages were challenging but fun (thanks to the Delaware Blues who designed and set them up), and the day was great.

Rico's commentary: the use of cross-draw holsters is continuing but lamentable; they are a nuisance for the shooter, the stage workers, and the other shooters. Would that SASS had never made them legal... Spatter, too, continues to be a problem. Seated at the unloading table for much of the day, Rico got hit several times by sizable hunks of lead.
